Sunday 7th April, Christchurch Squash Club
Our 1st junior 2100 tournament for the year was a wonderful success. The tournament was well supported with a record number of entries for the first in the series, with 40 junior players competing in 5 Divisions. The Tournament was hosted by Christchurch Squash Club.
The format for the tournament allows both a beginner level player to enter and compete in a friendly supportive environment, as well as our developing players getting squash fit and enjoying 3 competitive games in an afternoon! As this series continues to grow in popularity we will have to look at how we can cater for a growing number of entries next year, to ensure keen players do not miss out on the opportunity to play in this wonderful series.
To be eligible to enter this tournament you need to be a graded junior player with a Squash NZ grading of no more than 2100 points. It would be great to see entries from players in the 1500 – 2100 grades entered to play next month.
Well done to everyone who entered and enjoyed the day.
