Thank you very much to the clubs who have responded. 4. Forward Foundation is seeking applications for their 2017 Ambassador Programme.
For those that don’t know the Forward Foundation is about inspiring the next generation of young female sports leaders in New Zealand. The Forward Foundation run a series of initiatives across New Zealand that encourage high school aged girls to get involved in sport and leverage the potential in our young leaders to inspire those around them to do the same.
One of these initiatives is the Ambassador programme which aims to increase participation in girls’ sports through identifying young female game changers and enabling them to inspire those around them to participate in sport.
What Ambassadors do
Attend the annual Forward Foundation Ambassador Conference
Occupy an active role with the aim of increasing participation in their sport
Initiate self-driven projects for school or community sports
Participate in discussion forums with other Ambassadors from across New Zealand
Submit regular updates outlining project progress
Positively promote the Forward Foundation and the Ambassador programme
This programme is not about the best player in the team, but for those girls who are willing and passionate about lifting the profile and participation levels of girls’ sport in New Zealand.
Therefore, if you know of any young ladies, attending secondary school and involved in sport in any way, who you think would do a great job in encouraging girls into sport, then please send them this email. They can also look on their website for more information. http://www.forwardfoundation.co.nz/initiatives
The deadline for applications is the 4th of December.
