The Koru Games was set up to provide South Island year 7 & 8 students with an accessible opportunity to develop their individual skillsets through playing team sport for their school.
We have an opportunity to further promote our sport at the games. Squash Canterbury’s Air Court will be onsite and available for children to “have a go at squash” during the tournament from Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th of September, with all equipment provided.
We are looking for volunteers to man the court during the games. The court will be setup at the Lincoln University Recreation Centre outdoors (weather permitting). The more volunteers we have to supervise at the court the longer we will be able to have it up and available for these kids to “have a go” between their competition games.
In 2017 46 South Island schools attended with 2100 participants, 2018 is looking even bigger!
Please give Di McCoy a ring or email her if you would like to help out and are free for an hour or two Wednesday 18th – Friday 20th.
