Club 20 Trial

An exciting new initiative is being rolled out nationally and will engage 20 clubs to trial new ways to grow the game so this can be shared across the sport for the benefit of everyone. It will be a combined effort by your club, Squash Canterbury and Squash NZ.

Squash Canterbury is seeking expressions of interest from clubs interested in participating in the trial to look at ways to increase participation in the game.

There will be 2 or 3 clubs selected from the region and both Squash Canterbury and Squash NZ will support the activities, dependant on the program(s) the club wishes to implement.

If your club wishes to be included in the trial we are asking for your club to register their interest by providing the following information: -

  • Program(s) your club would like to run.
  • Target numbers of new participants into the sport.
  • Target market (age group, gender, etc)
  • Timing of activity (morning, afternoons, evening)
  • How the club will support the initiative -  resources people and $.
  • Done through paid staff or volunteers.
  • Pathway club envisages to membership (or continued participation with ongoing revenue)
  • Support required by Squash Canterbury or Squash NZ.

If you don’t have all the above information then don’t be concerned, this can be worked through later.

The most important aspect is the commitment from the club to be involved.

Once the clubs have been selected Squash Canterbury will work through with those clubs and finalise an agreement by which the trial can be delivered and success measured.
