Easter Opening Hours

Please find below the Squash Canterbury office opening hours over the Easter period. Normal hours will resume Monday 1st May

  • Friday 14th April: Closed (Easter Friday)
  • Monday 17th April: Closed (Easter Monday)
  • Tuesday 18th April: 10am – 2pm
  • Wednesday 19th April: 10am – 2pm
  • Thursday 20th April: Closed
  • Friday 21st April: Closed
  • Monday 24th April:  10am – 2pm
  • Tuesday 25th April: Closed (ANZAC Day)
  • Wednesday 26th April: 10am – 2pm
  • Thursday 27th April: Closed
  • Friday 28th April: Closed.

Canterbury District Calendar

Please note that the date for the Kaikoura Open is wrong on the calendar. The Kaikoura Open will be take place on the 5th, 6th & 7th May not the 12- 14th May as was listed.

All Clubs should now have a copy of the Canterbury District Calendar, if your club hasn’t please do not hesitate to contact info@squashcanterbury.co.nz to request a copy.

Kaikoura Update

The Kaikoura Club recently found out that their Club rooms did suffer considerable damage from the earthquake; to the value of 72K which needs to be fixed. The club need to raise $25k to cover the insurance excess. One of their fundraising events will be the Kaikoura Open which is taking place on the 5 - 7 May. It would be great to see support from fellow Cantabrians. 

Please note, the dates listed on the Squash Canterbury Tournament Calendar are incorrect. 

Canterbury Secondary Schools Individual Squash Championship

The Canterbury Secondary Schools Individual Squash Championships will take place Sunday 21st May at Squash HQ.

To enter, please contact your School.

Canterbury Junior Age Group Championships

12-14 May, Marlborough

Entries are now open on iSquash

U11, 13, 15, 17 & 19 as of 15 May

Christchurch Autumn Interclub

REMINDER - Women’s Div 1 & Men’s Div 1

 Entry deadline is TODAY 10th April (just for this division).

 For any queries, please feel free to contact either Paul Monk (Paul.Monk@lpc.co.nz) or Lawrence Skurr (lawrence@skurrexports.co.nz)

 Paul and Lawrence, will look at the men’s and women’s Division 1 team entries on Tuesday and will consider the best option.

REMINDER– Rules & Referee Courses

 Don’t forget it is compulsory for anyone playing interclub to attend/take the Rules and Referee course.

 Squash Canterbury have organised two courses for interclub players to attend. Dates and venues below.

  •  7pm THIS Wednesday @ Christchurch Squash Club
  • 7pm Thursday 20th April @ Linwood Squash Club (Linwood are offering FREE Pizza for anyone that attends)

 No need to book your place, you can just turn up on the night.

 Interclub players can also complete the Squash NZ online course: http://nzsquash.co.nz/survey/training.cfm

 PLEASE NOTE:

 It is the responsibility of clubs to ensure all interclub players attend a rules session. 

 A roll call will be taken at the Squash Canterbury evenings and then passed onto clubs

 It is the club’s responsibility to arrange a similar session for interclub players who do not attend the above courses

Other information

Entries for Juniors, Men’s & Women’s Div 2 and below CLOSE Sunday 23rd April Please note: late entries will not be accepted.

Autumn Interclub will start w/c 1st May and run through to w/c 3rd July.

It will cost $80/Senior Team& $50/Junior Team
