Last Sunday at Squashways, lots of people where in festive spirits, as they hosted an end of year Christmas party and the prize giving for the Canterbury Junior Age Groups.

The whole event revolves around the kids and to grow and nurture a friendship between all the players. The clubs involved this year were Squashways, Squash HQ, Burnside, Christchurch Football and Darfield.

The whole event wouldn’t be possible without some very special people…

Paul Growcott of course, his support, strong involvement and contribution to Canterbury Squash is amazing.

Adam Ordering our NZ Club Coach of the year; he is always so keen to help and give expertise advice to ALL our players.

Deb Salisbury from Burnside always willing to help and pitch in whenever she is needed!

And Chris, Jayden, Charlie what a team I am very proud to have young players like these that are already acclaimed around the country for their squash feats are still able to put so much back into our junior players, fostering our Game!!

The doors are definitely open for other clubs to join in next year. Just have a chat with Paul, next time you are at Squashways.
