ORIX 2019 Canterbury Sports Awards

The 2019 Canterbury Sports Awards took place on Friday 29^th March at the Wigram Air Force Museum.

The Awards are the region's iconic celebration of sporting achievement, recognising coaches, officials, athletes and administrators. Squash had a great representation with six nominees;

• Administrator of the Year – Richard Aitken
• Club of the Year – Waimea Squash Club
• Coach of the Year – Adam Odering
• Sportsman of the year – Paul Coll
• Young Sportsman of the year – Tom Marshall
• Life Achievement – Lawrence Skurr

Paul Coll was shortlisted as a finalist for the Outstanding Sportsman of the Year and second year in a row, lost out to Tom Walsh and Lawrence Skurr received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his services to Squash.
