Girls only Tournament

On Sunday the 23^rd of September, Squash Canterbury ran a Girls only Junior Tournament, held at Christchurch Squash Club.  The tournament attracted 13 entries from beginner level players through to E grade players.

The tournament enabled girls training in our Term 3 girls only session to put their newly learnt skills into a game, our girls playing Junior Interclub Competition to play against other keen girls, and we also attracted new girls keen to try squash.

This tournament proved to be very enjoyable for all who entered, with many asking for another tournament to be held later this year.  We would like to see this tournament as a regular event in Canterbury as a new initiative to help grow and develop our number of female players. Well done to all who entered there was some great matches.
