The aim of Junior Autumn interclub is to provide a framework for players of all abilities to play graded competitive squash within greater Christchurch. We run four competitions a year. The competitions are in-line with school terms dates. Junior Interclub is for all players from 0 to 1500 points, under 19 years of age. There is a format to suit players of all abilities. Games are played on a Monday evening starting at 5.30pm at various clubs around the Greater Christchurch Area.
This division has been created for Junior players new to squash. Juniors can be included in this competition at any time they feel ready to begin their competition squash. Juniors will represent their club, however forming a team is not necessary in this Division, all players play as individuals against players of similar ability.
Currently all games are played in Christchurch City clubs to allow players of this level to all play at the same venue, creating a wonderful atmosphere & allowing great social interaction. All games are played for competitive points as results are logged with Squash New Zealand. This is a fun competition created to enable games to be matched as evenly as possible to ensure juniors are getting a good game with Juniors of a similar ability. All players are required to referee or mark a game during the evening. Games conclude with a shared supper.
Our more experienced Juniors enter the teams Division of Junior Interclub. Club based teams are formed with both individual and team results recorded with Squash New Zealand. This is a fun competition which allows players to progress up the team ranking and play to their full potential.
Team’s are given both home and away games, currently clubs represented in the Teams Division include, Malvern, Burnside, Christchurch Football, and Christchurch. The home team provides a shared supper at the end of the games, it is a requirement to referee or mark a game during the evening.

At the end of each competition we present a prize to the most improved girl and boy. This award is kindly sponsored by Anderson & Hill. Anderson & Hill are a local sport shops located in Barrington Shopping Centre.
